This African Black Soap is from Ghana. This soap is made from water, roasted plantain skin, cocoa pod, unrefined shea butter, palm oil, and natural sodium- this is the original Ghanaian recipe. The longer that the plantain skins are roasted the darker the Black Soap will be, but Black Soap should never be black in color. Plantains are the most significant ingredient in Black Soap; Plantains are the soap's source of vitamin E. It is 100% natural and healing. It prevents rashes and dry skin. It cleanses the pores treating acne and treats oily skin. It draws impurities to the surface which can then be exfoliated away. It leave zero residue leaving you purely fresh and clean. It has been used for blemishes, eczema, yeast, ringworm, removing make-up and to eliminate body odor. Black Soap has an earthy, natural scent. It is NOT perfumed nor should it ever be. I use this soap every day on my face and within my FIRST use I saw tighter, clearer, more even skin! It creates the richest, thickest, most purifying lather I have ever experienced. This soap comes in natural loose pieces. Pressing it into bars makes it much easier to work with and wastes less.  How to use; To use Black Soap for a shower or bath - Wet your sponge or washcloth, rub the black soap on the sponge or washcloth and your are ready for a shower or bath. For face, simple create a rich lather with your hands and spread over face-avoid eyes. To use Black Soap for hair - Wet your hair; rub black soap in your hair until it lathers. Wash your hair, rinse & repeat the process until your hair is clean. Apply conditioner. To store Black Soap - Because of high natural glycerin content black soap readily absorbs moisture from the air. It must be stored in a dry location or wrapped in saran wrap or in a zip lock bag or it will become soft. Black soap exposed to the air will have a thin white color film.
